3 Uses for Your Easter Dress After Sunday

Does anyone still get excited to go shopping for your Easter dress? I know when I was a kick that was so much fun to go pick out a new dress for the Easter season. You would get all dressed up, go to church, go hunt those eggs, and eat more ham and candy than you could imagine? Or is that just me (wink!) You look so good in your dress it would be a shame for your Easter dress to be stuck in your closet the rest of the year after Easter Sunday. Here are some ways to wear your Easter dress long after Easter Sunday - even for work!

As much as I love Easter dresses, so few of mine have gone worn more than once or twice.  But I am determined to get some more wear out of my dresses.  This dress is the perfect spring floral and I have linked some of my favorite spring florals and bright dresses below for you to find your own Easter options (sizes 0-28 available and prices starting at just $19).

Once you get the perfect dress here are my tips to trying to expand the use of that Easter dress for the spring and summer season to follow.  

1. Use that Easter dress for a spring or summer wedding - We all know May and June is a big wedding season. I know I have two on my list year already! Pick a dress that you can wear to that wedding and you can make sure your Easter dress pulls double duty.  A light cardigan, different bag, statement jewelry, or an up-do can certainly change up the look to adjust to  formal or less formal weddings. 
2. Add a sweater and wear to work - I have paired my Easter dress in these pics with a pull over sweater.  I used on the "skirt" portion of the dress to get more use out of my Easter dress and I was certainly the brightest one in the office that day!  Another option may be a blazer to give your dress a more professional look. 
3. Add a denim jacket to dress down - So, you are heading to a crawfish boil or a picnic in the park. You don't want to put on high heels and lots of jewelry but want to get some use out of that dress.  How about adding a jean jacket to your Easter dress to dress is down just a bit for that casual, cool look.  Pair it with some cute sandals and voila!  Bring on the picnic!
