I have fallen into the off the shoulder sweater trend. I love the look because I can wear it more like a cowl neck at work and then go off the shoulder when I head out for drinks after work. I paired some white jeans and some studded heels to add a little edge to the soft pink sweater.

I found this jumpsuit at a local shop in Houston and I fell in love! And even better for you, I found it on sale in all sizes (XS-3X) online so you can grab this look for yourself! This is the perfect date night outfit - Valentine's Day anyone? I have paired this black jumpsuit with some of my favorite bags to show you some casual and evening looks. Hope you enjoy!
I don't know where sweater dresses have been all my life but it seems like this winter I have found some winners. I love how easy a sweater dress is to throw on with some boots or booties and you have an easy, stylish outfit. This dress is on super sale ($35) and comes in other colors so you cannot go wrong!
This season is all about the lace up sweater. And I am on this train! I love them! I think they go with everything from weekend wear to work. They also add a little edge to every outfit. As a bonus, I think they are slimming with their V necks and lace-up details focused around the neckline.
I love Texas winters - mainly be they are pretty mild and we can finally turn off our air conditioners. But I also love winters because I can bring out my capes and suede shoes!
This post features one of my favorite cape designers - Ellsworth and Ivey. She has the best quality capes I have ever found. I have seven capes - yes you heard that right! So many. I love them because they are cool enough to wear even in our temperate southern winters but will keep you warm even when you head to colder climates. And they look so polished while not restricting your shoulders/arms like many of my heavier coats. These are a staple of my work week attire. If you need help on sizing, I find it to be pretty straight forward based on the website measurements. For reference, I wear a size 10 and I buy a large cape because I have broad shoulders and I am tall (5'10"). I hope that helps. I have linked my exact cape below, It's available in four fabulous colors. As a bonus, you can get a great discount on these capes with the code polishedprofessionals. My necklace and bracelets are from my favorite 2016 find - Laura J Finery. Laura is amazing and her work is classy, quality, and timeless. If you follow me on instagram you know I wear it all the time. You can wear this necklace doubled around your neck or as a wrap around your wrist as well. So cool to get so many different looks out of one piece of jewelry. Also note the amazing stones she uses in all her pieces. Links for each product below. I also feature here some of my favorite winter work shoes. These shoes are made with tennis shoe technology but they are heels that are so work appropriate. The heel height is just high enough to elongate the leg and comfortable enough to wear from morning all the way through the night. I have these shoes in a wine and black suede. They are winter staples for me and I know you will love the choices I have below. Cape - exact cut here (4 other colors) Jeans - exact here (note I wear 32 in these and find their regular inseams to be long enough) Bag - same shape and brand here (available in 4 solid colors) and multi color bag here and here Top - exact top here (just $15), similar here and here (just $12 and $16 respectively) Shoes - similar here and here Bracelets - here and here Necklace - here and here (different colored stones) Earrings - old but exact smaller version here Stay warm - and stylish out there! |
