Staying Warm in Style with this Sweater Dress

I don't know where sweater dresses have been all my life but it seems like this winter I have found some winners.  I love how easy a sweater dress is to throw on with some boots or booties and you have an easy, stylish outfit. This dress is on super sale ($35) and comes in other colors so you cannot go wrong!

Lets start with the fact that this dress is just $35! Throw this on and you are done! I love the weight of this sweater dress.  It is not too thick so it is perfect for this less than winter experience we have in Texas.  But, when I took it to New York it was a perfect layering piece with leggings and booties or high boots.  The weight also made it easy to work with a larger jacket for really cold climates (i.e. I was not in a thick sweater so that my winter coat was easy to get on).  This dress is also easy to wear because you can throw in the dryer to get out any wrinkles in a snap! Love that!

The dress runs a little big so I ordered down to a medium (usually wear a size 10 for reference). I also like that this dress has some length to it.  I am 5'10" and you can see this dress hits me just above the knee. Some of the sweater dresses I tried were a little too short for me so I liked that this one had some length to it. 

I paired the dress with booties because, as I mentioned, Texas winters are not really that cold so to bundling all the way up does not always make a lot of sense.  Nonetheless in colder weather I have worn this with over the knee boots I have shown you previously and linked those again below.  I like the lighter shade of ankle booties for me in this dress because I think trying to match your skin tone can help elongate the leg with booties rather than cutting you off at the ankles - quite literally.  I have linked several pair starting at just $45 and available in several different tones to match several skin tones.
