8 Essential Accessories Every Woman Should Have this Summer

If you are looking for ways to upgrade your style and update your closet this summer, there are a few items which need to be the first to come into your closet. Here are some of the essential accessories which every woman should have in her closet for an effortless style.

I have found that accessories have been my favorite way as a blogger to change things up. I cannot - and frankly do not want - to always be buying lots of new pieces. I tend to stick to traditional pieces and use my accessories to keep my looks modern and refreshed.  These are some of my favorite accessories and I view these as must haves to keep your closet up to date. 1. Necklaces
The first item I think of when I think of the word accessory is a necklace. A necklace can vamp up any outfit and it can make or break the style you are trying to translate. A statement necklace with lots of stones can be a brilliant addition to plain dress or shirt: a delicate necklace with a simple stone can be ideal for a date night: and a pendant necklace with a colored stone is perfect for every day. If you don’t already have many necklaces in your closet, now is the time to get some. They are an easy way to layer in the summer without adding anything bulky or hot to your look.

2. Bracelets
Bracelets are a brilliant way to either show a sense of class or a sense of fun to an outfit. On a hot summer's day, you can make a simple outfit pop by layering gold and silver bracelets over each other on your wrist. A plain outfit can become brighter with the addition of a bold colored bracelet, and a delicate chain will look stunning with a cocktail dress.

3. Rings
Rings come in many different styles and sizes, and they can give your style real depth and character. For a stunning and simple look. A silver or gold band with a single gem can be gorgeous. You can use a statement ring with a colored stone to make a bold fashion statement and have some fun. And for a boho-inspired look, you can buy a set of rings which can be stacked on your fingers during the summer.

4. Earrings
Studs, hoops and dangling stones can look stunning on your ears and can even make you look more feminine. Buying a simple pair of studs such as a gem or some stars can be a wonderful addition to your everyday look and will give you a little extra flair. When you wear your hair up in a ponytail you can make a statement with some dangling crystals or large hoops. Earrings can be super fun and you can even buy ones which have monograms or palm prints or huge tassels on them if you want to have some fun.

5. Hats
Hats are a must to protect yourself from the summer time sun.  Plus, everyone suits a hat. Really   You might not have found the right hat for you yet, but there will always be one out there. For a cute summer outfit, a floppy hat can be stunning. For a sporty outfit, you can’t go wrong with a cap. And if you are feeling more traditional try out a fedora. I have a really big head so I have to make sur my sizes fit and I have added a few below that even fit my head and I promise will work for everyone.

6. Watches
A watch is an item which can make you look more expensive and classy immediately and will add elegance to your wrist.  I have always loved Michael Kors watches that are feminine and give a statement which you can use with any outfit. Choosing a great watch can make a huge difference to your overall style and, of course, keep you on time for you next appointment. 

7. Sunglasses
Sunglasses are my go to in the summertime. They not only protect your eyes from the summer sun but they can suit every personality. I like an aviator for a more tradition look and recently I have loved sparkles on my sunglasses. Why not, it's summertime!!

8. Summer Totes
I love a good tote bag for summer. It's always a classic. I have loved this LV tote that I have had for almost a decade and I have linked some of my favorite straw totes as well, including one that I got in the recent Box of Style that is just fabulous for heading to the beach.
