So, you’re stuck in a rut while everyone else seems to be whizzing by?. Everybody feels like this at one time or another. You might feel like you’re just doing the same things day in and just stuck in the traffic jam of life. You might not know where to turn to or what to do to get out of this rut. I definitely can find myself getting into a pattern that I desperately want to get out of. Let’s take a look at seven proven tricks to help you and me. Create A Vision For The Future You’d Like To Work Towards
First of all, see if you can create a vision for the future that you’d like to work towards. This is something that should make you excited. It should give you a boost and help you to want to get up in the morning, and make the changes required to get out of that rut. Where would you like to be? What would you like to be doing? What would your work/life balance be like? Picture it all and write it down. Put it somewhere you can see it every day so that it can sink into your subconscious! Speak To A Trusted Friend Sometimes, speaking to a trusted friend can give you perspective. They know you better than most people, so they could help you to see where you may be going wrong and give you advice on what to change. Take Inspiration From People You Admire Taking inspiration from people you admire is another great way to make a change. Look up some inspiring people like Belinda Stronach and read about them and how they made a change in their lives. Read their stories and see what you can take away from them. Read Lots Of Books There are so many amazing self help books out there. Lots of people don’t think they need self help, but the truth is, anybody can benefit from it. Self help can help you to become more self aware and give you some great advice on what you need to do to change. Just don’t become a self help junkie - somebody who reads a ton of self help but never actually takes action! Do One Thing Each Day That Scares You Try to do one thing each day that scares you. It doesn’t have to be big. The important thing is that you get used to being out of your comfort zone. That’s where the magic happens! Work On Your Physical/Mental Health Start working on your physical/mental health. Exercise, even a little bit each day. Meditate. The more you take care of yourself, the better you’ll feel. Take A Break From Work Perhaps you’re stuck in a rut because you’ve been working too long and hard. Take a break. This might be hard for some, but forcing yourself to take a break could be exactly what you need. Tell us in the comments some of your best ways to break up the monotony!
