Even if the weather is not feeling any cooler, you may want to start transitioning into at least looking like you are ready for fall! These staples are my way of starting to 'fall into' (pun intended) this new season of style. Plus, I link some of my new favorite fall style picks to refresh your work looks!
So how do you at least start to "look" more like fall? I put away things like linen blazers, white pants, and eyelet tops and I start to pull out these staples from my wardrobe:
1) Leather and faux leather - Leather says fall to me. While it may seem like a warmer fabric - a think leather is actually pretty wearable through most temperatures and certainly wearable in the arctic tundra that I call my office (anyone else keep their offices like an ice box?). Now there is also a ton of cute faux leather options available that don't break the budget, that look really chic, and - wait for it - can actually be washed in the washing machine! Check out my picks below or click on my pictures to be taken directly to my looks. 2) Scarves and more scarves - So you may not be cold enough to break out the leather but a lightweight scarf is an easy way to say fall without sweating. Scarves are also the cheapest way to make any outfit look different. I love a silk scarf when the weather is still warm outside and we have linked some of our favorites below. 3) Denim Jackets - If you know me, you know my denim jacket has been a staple in my wardrobe the last few years. I bought it one day when I was freezing in Las Vegas and it was the best $69 buy in a long time. I even think denim jackets are fine for the office on a casual Friday. I have linked some traditional denim jackets as well as some animal chic denim jackets you will not want to miss. Tell us in the comments the ways you like to fall into the new season style!
