Running a business right takes a huge amount of time and dedication, and perhaps one of the biggest parts of running a successful business is the relationship we built with our clients and customers. Our clients are the beating heart of any business, they are the most important people to us and they are the ones who feed the company's success. This is why is it incredibly important to make sure that we make that effort to keep our clients happy and loyal to our brand. This is the main job of marketing techniques. You don’t need to rent out corporate luxury apartments for every single client you have to try and win their favor, however it does means spending time creating marketing campaigns and speaking to the people you are working for.
Marketing is the main way that we can communicate with our customers and make sure that they are happy with our brand. It is crucial to be able to create a working marketing strategy which you are able to stick to. If you already have a dedicated marketing team within the company then this should be much easier, however if you don’t, you will need to learn the ropes. Take some time to think about the way you want to interact with your customers. Will it be on your website? Via email? With social media? If so, what social media platforms? It will all depend on the tone of voice and the type of company you are. For me, I have tried to expand Polished Professionals from just an instagram account to a blog, to videos, to consulting. All of those require a different strategy to market to our readers. Evaluate your company Before you get into gaining loyal customers and clients, you will need to delve into your own company and really look at who you are and what you want to achieve. Step back for a moment and look at what you are currently doing to attract customers to your brand. You might think that simply having a website and posting once a week on social media is enough, but it’s not enough at all. I learned this the hard way with a blog I started in 2012 (that went no where!!). I thought if I just posted good content people would flock to my site. Not the case! You have to engage! You need to put the work in to contacting your clients consistently and sending out the right message. There is no use just sharing promotions now and again, because you will not gain a following who trusts and supports you. The key to a successful business is to add a personal touch and to go beyond the black and white. Add value for them! That is the key word! Add in some helpful blog posts which are informative or talk about your company and how you create products. Create a story which people can invest in and they will support you. It’s not enough just to provide a good quality service or product, because if you cannot gain that loyal client you won’t make a profit. You of course need to provide good customer service to your clients but this isn’t all, you need to stand out from the crowd. Look at your competitions and see what they are doing. If you notice that they are posting about certain types of things or frequently, you should take head of this and figure out how you will stand out from this crowd. Engagement will bring people to you, and holding that engagement is the struggle you will face. To really know how you can engage and drive your customers to your door, you will need to start taking a look at the tips below. Hire the right people Aside from your online presence, the only other direct point of reference your customers will have for the business is the people they speak to and those who serve them. The service you provide for your clients is an essential part of being successful and to do this you need the right people to deliver it. Who answers your phone or responds to email inquiries? It matters! Hiring someone who simply doesn’t care and is moody can damage your reputation and make your customers go elsewhere. Workflow Take some time to look at the way your business is running. Is the customer always being left waiting because your staff are busy doing other things? If so, you need to take a look at ways to make their work more efficient or hire extra help. Listen to your customers It is always difficult receiving bad reviews online, and the only way you are going to combat this is to listen to the criticism and work to improve your brand. Some companies shut off from complaints and simply ignore their audience, and this sends a bad signal to the public. Make sure you run regular polls and ask your customers if there is any way you can improve. This way you can stay in their good books and they will stay loyal.
