I don't know about you but I love the opportunity to work from home and I know many of you get to work from home every day too. Working from home certainly has its many advantages. You won’t have to waste any time commuting to an office, and you won’t have to deal with the distractions that co-workers can often bring. You can feel a lot more relaxed getting work done in your own home, and are free to work to your own schedule. All in all, it’s certainly a lot more chilled out than working in an office! However, that’s no excuse for getting too relaxed. Especially when it comes to what you wear when you are working from home. So, don’t slip into your slacks just yet. These fashion tips can help you keep your clothes on point for your home office! Always Get Dressed You might be tempted to stay in your pajamas all day long while you work from home, but that really isn’t a good plan. When you lounge around in your PJs all day, you will feel a bit too relaxed, and you might not even get any work done! So, it’s important that you always get dressed once you wake. Once you do get dressed, you will find that this puts you in a great frame of mind for getting on with your work. Keep Things Comfy You don’t have to dress quite as formally as you would if you were heading into the office. So, if you find that you are always pulling pencil skirts down or your blazer is a little tight, don’t feel that you have to wear them. Instead, go for some clothes that are smart casual. These won’t be quite as chilled as what you wear in your free time, so will still help you get in a professional frame of mind ready for work. Stay Smart For Skype Meetings Even though it’s ok to stay in smart casual clothes while working from home, it’s important to keep some formal pieces in your wardrobe for meetings. Your clients might want to chat to you on Skype or they might even be willing to visit you in your home. If this is the case, you might want to shop now for smart dresses, blouses, and trouser suits. That way, you always have something to bring out of your wardrobe if you need some formal wear. Nail Your Day To Evening Look When you work from home, it’s important that you clearly split up your working time and leisure time so that neither infringe on the other. For some people, getting changed after work into casual clothes helps them do this. However, if you don’t have much time once you finish work, needing to get changed will only cause you further stress. So, it’s important that you get a good day to evening look so that you don’t have to waste too much time thinking about what you should wear in the evening. With these tips, you can look ever the professional even if you do stay at home in your home office every day. When your clients come a-calling, they will certainly be very impressed!
