Nobody can afford to buy all of their clothes from high end fashion stores and all of your day to day stuff is probably cheaper. But it’s important that you invest a bit of money in some good clothes for business purposes. If you dress for success, you’ll feel more motivated and it’ll be easier to get ahead in your career. But high end fashion comes with a large price tag most of the time and you might not be able to afford it. Luckily, there are some simple ways that you can find great deals on high end fashion brands.
Most big fashion brands have a few different collections under the same umbrella and usually, there are some cheaper ones. Capsule collections are smaller lines that showcase the best pieces from a particular designer. Because they’re smaller collections with only a couple of pieces, the manufacturing costs are lower and so they cost a lot less. You’ll still get the great designs and quality of a top fashion brand but without the cost.
Watch Out For Scams
If you find a website that has loads of amazing deals on top fashion brands, you might think that you’ve hit the jackpot. In some cases, you might be right but you’ve got to be careful. If something seems too good to be true, sometimes it is. There are a lot of fakes out there and if you find a price that seems suspiciously low, you need to check. There are some great sites like Copemlegit that can help you to verify brands and stores to make sure that they’re the real deal. Don’t rush into buying something because it seems like a great deal because you might not be getting what you think you are.
Bridge lines are a good mid-point between the high end brands and the cheap ones. A bridge line is when a top designer collaborates with a cheaper store to create a collection together. For example, Marc Jacobs created a line to be sold at Target, JC Penny partnered with Project Runway and H&M has done collaborations with Moschino, and so on. Usually, the design is handled by the high end brands and the manufacturing is done on a budget. That means the quality isn’t going to be as good but you can still get some great designs for a cheaper price. It’s a good compromise between the two.
Buy Second Hand
When people think of buying second hand clothes, they usually picture old vintage stuff from thrift stores. But you can actually get some great deals on designer fashion if you buy second hand. Check sites like eBay, the Real Real, Bag Borrow or Steal or other second hand resellers and you’ll be surprised what you can find.
