Have you seen the 1970s fashion that is all over the place these days? Well I have tried to tap into some of that recently with a 70s glam party - Studio 54 theme. If you don't know Studio 54, it was the "it" club in New york City in the 1970s. Every celebrity was there and it was definitley a see and be seen club like none other history. We had a blast recreating all things Studio 54 and finding retro glam to wear that night. I think our theme will give you some good inspiration for your New Year's Eve plans. I have put in outfit ideas for you and the men in your life. FOR THE WOMEN First, I went back to the beginning of glam fashion in the 1970s. Halston was the premier glam fashion designer. His dresses graced celebrities like Liza Minnelli, Brook Shields, and Bianca Jagger. Talk about fashion icons! This year Halston has a 1970s line that I am loving and this is silver dress I am wearing here (show above) It is only sale now 30% off with code AFTERCHRISTMAS. I had it somewhat shortened just because I knew I would be dancing all night - it is a floor length dress when you buy it. I also have linked a similar looks here for just $38 and plus size here for just $58. One of my besties wore another amazing blue Halston dress here and also on sale (pictured below). Isn't she the 70s style perfected! And if you just want to browse my favorite party looks by Halston click here. All 30% off with code AFTERCHRISTMAS. For your accessories - all things glam applies. My earrings are linked here and are just $14! My hand bag (not shown) is also linked here and is available in 3 colors and is just $38!
FOR MY MAN Velvet - which is so back this season - is the perfect addition to any 1970s style. So, I added it to my husband's outfit. To finish out your man's look I have linked my husband burgandy velvet jacket here and it is available in four colors (blue, green, burgundy and red) and on super duper sale - now just $100! I have also linked similar picks here in gray which I just love and it is also on super sale for just $188 - regularly $300. For my husband's bow ties and cummerbund I used a new company that I have totally fallen in love with. Its called Brackish and they may amazing products out of sustainably harvested feathers. My husbands exact bow tie and cummerbund are linked here and here. They have really stand out products that make a tux anything but ordinary. Plus if you want to add a flare to your own outfit - check out their women's loafers here. Here's to rocking it this New Year's Eve!
