Numbers? Is that you? I had to get my MBA later in life because I found out (after law school!) that math runs the world! If you figured it out faster than me and are already an accountant - we have the jobs for you! Accountants have a wide choice of industries. All types of businesses, schools, and non-profits require accountants to help them keep their finances in check. If you are an advanced accountant, you might want to choose a specific industry to specialize in and build your knowledge so you can better market your expertise.
Academia

Universities and colleges require accountants to manage their complicated financial systems. Working as an accountant for a university often involves helping to manage funding and financial aid. You will be dealing with tuition issues with students and the distribution of funding to different departments.

Hospitality

The hospitality industry includes hotels, restaurants and other businesses providing accommodation, food and beverages, and more. These businesses require accountants and bookkeepers to manage their finances, produce financial reports and perform auditing. Accountants need to be able to help manage the many financial transactions that these businesses deal with.

Government

Government agencies require accountants that are able to carry out their jobs with high levels of precision. Accountants can help government agencies to handle funding responsibly, ensuring it is spent in the best way possible and that initiatives and projects don't go over budget.

The healthcare industry also need help from accountants. Their job is to ensure there is enough revenue coming in that medical care can be provided to all patients. Accountants will often needs to deal with insurance companies to take care of the necessary day-to-day tasks that the organization requires.
