The Uniform Basics Continued

So I started off by saying that the idea of a work uniform has some good company - aka Michael Kors and Carolina Herrera and many more.  For me that is how I have grown my wardrobe.  Two more staples I wanted to share with you guys are my jackets and dresses.  With the pants and shirts I gave you earlier this week you really can mix and match anything to last!

The jacket - I love an open front jacket these days that creates a good silhouette.  For me my current picks are Theory open jackets.  They bring these back season over season. They are great to work as a suit if I have to go to court but also great to dress up jeans or do a more modern suit look like this with black Theory jacket (link above), Hudson jeans, Charming Charlie bag (some in this collection still available), and J Landa jewelry.  

The Dress - so my go to easy on, one and done dress is Nanette Lepore 3/4 sleeve dress.  I have posted on my instagram about this dress and shown you just some of 8 colors of this dress I have - yes you read that right.  I have plain colors in royal blue, brown, black, purple, navy, color blocks, herringbones....lots.  It is so easy to travel with and it keeps coming back year after year.  Throw a jacket on and you have a suit.  It travels so well too with never a wrinkle.  One of my favorite versions of this dress in color block is on sale now at Neiman Marcus for just $74!  Check it out!  (picture below).
