Life’s too short to spend your days going to work and being bored out of your mind by it. There are so many other things out there that you could be doing if your job is simply not stimulating in the way it has to. Boring work is a waste of your time, so now is the time to start looking for work that makes you excited to get up in the morning. It’s not an easy task but it certainly can be done. It’s Your Life to Live
First of all, you need to remember that this is your life, and you only get one of them. So if you are not enjoying the thing that you spend most of your time doing from Monday to Friday, you need to make changes as soon as you can. No one else is going to make these changes for you. Only you can do that. Enjoying Work Each Day Makes Life so Much Better When you get up in the morning and enjoy getting up and going to work, it makes your entire life so much more enjoyable. You don’t have that horrible feeling of dread in your stomach and having to head to the office. So this should be your number one incentive for finding a job that you actually enjoy doing each day. Find Something That Thrills You There are so many enjoyable and exciting jobs out there for you to explore, so there’s really no reason to settle for something that you are not loving. Does working with people energize? Get out of your cubicle and find something that allows you to interact with others. Just want more thrills? Do something you don't know how to do but always wanted to! This blog has been that challenge for me that has been so fun to meet new people and learn new skills to make this a reality. But if you need even more thrills, you could take on private pilot training and from there you could become a professional pilot and see the world! Who You Work With Matters Too Sometimes, it’s not the job that you do that really matters, it’s the people that you work with that really matters. It’s up to you to look for ways to enjoy spending time in the office, and that usually means enjoying time with the people who working working with as well. So if you really hate spending time with the people in your workplace, it might be time for a change. If change is not possible, I really suggest getting to know the people you work with. When you learn about people's personal lives and struggles, you become much more empathetic to them and can really make you appreciate some of the sacrifices some people make each day at work. It Might be the Best Change You Ever Make Finally, you should avoid fears and doubt by remembering that this could eventually turn out to be one of the best changes that you ever make in your career. I needed a change from one of my jobs and I am so grateful I took the leap. I do not work at the company any more but I learned everything I needed to start my path on this blogging journey when I was an attorney doing contracts for bloggers! Who knew that job would lead to this! There is nothing wrong with opting for a change every now and then because we all need a change of routine and a change of scenery sometimes. It’s nothing to be ashamed; sometimes you just have to follow what feels right and go for it. When you’re bored by your job and you dread going to work each day, it can be really depressing. There’s no doubting that. So grab the bull by the horns and do something to change the reality that you’re not enjoying right now. Personally, I have my biggest regrets over the things I have not tried to do in my life. Do you feel the same way? Tell us the job you would most like to do in the comments!
