Whether you have a project you are trying to get off of the ground, a side hustle you love or a small business that you are passionate about and want to see thrive, you cannot achieve it by goodwill alone. If you want to grow and develop this passion piece then you have to put in the work and take action on it. Here are some ways to help inspire you to grow the project you are passionate about.
Plan and scheduleStart by sitting down and writing a detailed plan of what you want to achieve out of your passion project. Be thorough and break down your plan into the smallest details so you have actionable steps of how you intend to achieve it. Once you have these details schedule them. Write your schedule down the old-fashioned way or use a more modern time scheduling app. Chances are your passion project has to fit in with your 9-5 and your busy home life, so be sure to earmark a specific time to pursue your passion. Include the steps of the plan within your schedule, be specific about what you will do each day or week to ensure it comes to fruition.
Get on social media Whatever your project is being on social media is a must. Social media can allow you to raise awareness and reach hundreds, thousands, and even more people than you dreamt possible. When it is done right. You don’t have to be selling anything or trying to yield a profit, social media can be advantageous to you in many ways. You maybe be pursuing your equine passion or dreaming of making a national sports team, whatever niche you are in social media can still help you. It can be used to raise your profile, awareness and spark an interest in your and your project. You can use it for research, shopping, or even just inspiration and a place to connect with others. Social media has so many uses and so many different channels from Linked In to Instagram, there will be one to suit you. Better yet, consider what you need social media for and research how to make a social media app, thus allowing you to create the perfect platform to share your story.
Save moneyUnfortunately, money can be the be-all and end-all, and the more of it you have the more freedom and flexibility you may benefit from. That is not to say you need buckets of the stuff but having a financial cushion can open up more opportunities, whether it is to take a step back from paid employment to dedicate more time to your passion project or to use it to invest it into your labor of love. Having a pot of gold to fall back on or call upon can really help the growth of your project. Take a look at your finances and see where you can cut back and save some money.
Don’t be put offYou will be presented with obstacles and bumps in the road on your journey but don’t let them deter you. Treat them as an opportunity to learn or a mistake you know not to repeat. Passion will not always be enough, so if at first, you don’t succeed, try, try, and try again.
