Anyone else willing to do some New Year's Health and Beauty Resolutions in 2019? Before I make my resolutions, I will start with my true confessions!!! These are the things I know we should do on a regular basis but somehow I always find excuses not to do them frequently, if ever! I am willing to admit mine if you will admit yours! Check out my confessions and resolutions below.
1. Brush Cleaning - the first thing I will do more of in 2019 is clean my brushes! I know my brushes get filled up with all kinds of bacteria from daily use. I know its totally gross that I don't clean them daily much less weekly or monthly. I also know that clean brushes last longer so starting in 2019 I am going to get on my daily routine of spritzing my brushes with cleanser after each use. I have linked some of my favorite cleaners below and for those who cannot get on the daily cleaning routine, I have linked an awesome charcoal infused brush that keeps bacteria at bay on its own!! Plus I promise to order new sponges and replace them when they get dirty.....no more stretching out their use beyond their time.
2. Teeth Whitening - I am a good coffee and wine drinker....really good....and I know my teeth pay the price for it. This year I found a teeth whitening blue light that really helped increase the effectiveness of my whitening strips. I used it once, loved the results and let it sit the rest of the year! Why???? I will promise to get better at whitening so you guys don't have to look at yellow teeth in all my pictures! I linked my favorite teeth whitening light as well as my favorite whitening pen that works even on my sensitive teeth. 3. Probiotics Every Day - Gut health is real. Everything you put into your body goes through your gut. And having good gut bacteria is a key to keeping everything moving in all the right direction and fighting off all kinds of bad bacteria that get into your system. Plus if you are allergic to dairy like me, you may not be able to eat yogurt or kefir. Both of those have great bacteria for the body but I cannot eat them due to the casein in them so getting probiotics from food is tough for me. I will try to get some from things like kombucha which has great bacteria and will make sure myprobiotic supplement routine is strong! Do check with your doctor if you have never used probiotics - your body may have some specific needs and they can point you to the good bacteria you need. My favorites are linked below. I too need to get in the habit of cleaning my brushes more often. I know to clean my beauty blender, and that one is more easily cleaned, but often the brushes take longer to dry so I wait. I think kombucha is definitely the way to go for adding probiotics. I used Philips Colon Health for years thinking I was doing my gut a favor, but I kept having stomach pains, cramps, and other problems I thought were just part of IBS. I read that those could be side effects of using the supplement so stopped. Oh my word! I feel much better. Probiotics in naturally occurring form are better for sure.
