How To Lighten Up Your Makeup Routine for Summer 2019 And Keep Your Mascara From Running...

Summer heat is real in Texas!!!  If you don't want your face to literally melt off you have to make some major changes to your makeup routine.  I list may favorite summer make up products that keep my face feeling light and my sneaky trick to keep my mascara from running.....

So this is what I am crushing on this summer for my makeup routine:

 1) Double Duty  - I try to keep my products to a minimum in the summer because Texas heat is unrelenting when it comes to allowing your makeup to stay in place all day.  One of my favorite products to feel put together is this new lipstick that is a three in one lip balm for full but vibrantly colored lips.  It is enriched with shea butter and pink pepper extract to give you a fuller lip.  Plus it is in a perfectly pink leather case and comes in tons of colors and finishes from matte to shimmer. 

2) Sun Protection - Double duty is important and these products do that plus give me sun protection. Two beauty balms are my go to in the summer and they are both linked below. They act as a full coverage base without feeling heavy plus they give me great sun protection all day long so I don't need another SPF.  Plus they have all those good ingredients to hydrate my skin all summer long.

3) Cooling Effect - Anything that cools is a win in my book.  I have loved using a jade roller on my face. Its actually no products on my face at all. You just use the roller that is ohhh so cool and it helps depuff your eyes and massage your face.   Plus it does not take up any precious liquid travel bag space. I linked my favorite below.  Please know they are not all created equally so you really want to be careful with which jade roller you buy.  I also don't like heavy face masks in the summer so I have linked two of my favorite super lightweight and cool face masks that moisturize and plump the skin. They are both very gentle and work on my sensitive skin.  

Sssshhhhhhhh. Don't tell anyone......What is my trick to keeping my mascara from running in the summer???  I don't wear it! I love wearing a lightweight fake eyelashes instead of mascara. It never runs but still gives me a full look.  The lashes I picked come in very natural lengths to super full looks for nights out this summer.  These can be worn several times so they are definitely worth the bang for your buck!
